Applying for financial assistance.
We have two main routes in to grants to provide financial support. One is to support people who have lost hours or jobs because of Covid-19 and are in financial difficulty. The other is to support people with all other issues. Our seasonal Winter Fuel Grants programme is also open for applications too. Please read this page carefully before selecting which you’d like to apply for.

Our grants are available to anybody who is currently working in the UK hospitality industry or who has worked in the industry for a five-year period in their working life.
Currently, we can also consider applications from people who have worked for one year within the last two years in the hospitality industry and have recently lost their job/hours due to the Covid-19 pandemic via our Covid-19 Recovery Grant
Covid-19 Recovery Grant.
Due to high demand we have temporarily closed our C-19 Recovery Grant to new applications to allow us to clear the backlog as quickly as possible. Existing applications will all be reviewed with a decision made within 3 - 4 weeks. We will contact you if we need any further information to support your application.
Main Grants Programme.
If you would like to apply for our help with an ongoing issue such as debt, rent arrears, illness or longer-term unemployment or an unexpected cost e.g. a funeral apply to our main grant programme here. Our Main Grants Programme provides grants to help people deal with the many issues that can cause financial hardship. These include physical and mental ill health, poverty and addiction. Support can range from everyday essentials such as heating, school uniforms and general living costs, to counselling and home adaptations after a life-changing illness.
As these grants typically involve larger sums we will need more in-depth information from you, just tell us as much about your situation as you can and send in the requested supporting evidence and we'll help you get the right help. You can still apply for a Main Grant if you have been awarded a C-19 emergency grant and/or a C-19 recovery grant.

Winter Fuel Grants.
In response to the growing difficulty many working people are experience paying their essential fuel bills, Hospitality Action is continuing its Winter Fuel Grants Programme for those currently working within the hospitality industry receiving a low income.
