Simon Rogan’s Michelin-starred Aulis London restaurant is to host an exclusive dinner on Sunday September 14 featuring 20 of the country’s best chefs, all in the name of Hospitality Action.

Coined 20/20/20, Aulis’s executive chef Oli Marlow will oversee 20 chefs creating 20 courses. Bookings for the evening are being sold via raffle, with tickets each costing just £20. Six lucky winners will each be allowed to bring one guest, for a total of 12 diners, with the winning tickets covering all food and drink served on the evening. Chefs cooking on the evening include Andi Oliver, Ashley Palmer-Watts, Emily English and Ruby Bhogal.

We caught up with Simon and Oli to learn a little more:

Oli: What inspired you to host the raffle in aid of Hospitality Action?
I've seen how much our industry gives to others, but also how vulnerable hospitality workers can be when facing injury, mental health struggles, or financial difficulty. Hospitality Action provides crucial support that genuinely changes lives.

The raffle felt like a natural way to bring our team in Lakes and London together and share something meaningful with our industry peers and our guests. It's about raising money and awareness, showing we care about each other beyond just our shifts. Our industry is built on taking care of people, so supporting Hospitality Action is an extension of what we do every day.

Plus, everyone loves the chance to win something while doing good!

Oli: What can the lucky winners expect?
The six lucky winners of the raffle and their guests will join us on Sunday 14 September at Aulis London, Simon Rogan’s chef’s table in Soho, for a completely unique dining experience like no other. With a fantastic line-up of some of the most celebrated chefs in the UK, each one will contribute one small dish each for an incredible 20-course tasting menu that money can't buy. Alongside the dinner, we will serve a variety of drinks that we have made in collaboration with producers we know and trust, such as our recently launched Simon Rogan x Wiston Estate Sparkling Rosé Wine.

Oli: What kind of atmosphere are you hoping to create on the night?
It’s going to be fast-paced, maybe a bit chaotic - but ultimately a lot of fun, and all whilst raising money for charity. I’m incredibly grateful for the chefs involved for giving up their time and hope that for the 12 lucky guests it will be a one-of-a-kind evening where they can taste some inventive dishes from some incredibly talented chefs.

Simon: How important is the sense of camaraderie at an event like this?
Camaraderie is absolutely essential especially when we'll be against the clock to get all the dishes out on time. When 20 incredible chefs collaborate on a single 20-course menu, you're witnessing something that transcends individual restaurant boundaries and showcases the true spirit of our industry.

The format itself demonstrates how the hospitality community unites for a cause bigger than ourselves. This isn't about competition; it's about collective creativity and shared purpose. The intimate Aulis setting will amplify this camaraderie. The 12 lucky winners will witness real-time collaboration between exceptional chefs, seeing how professional relationships translate into memorable dining experiences.

What makes this particularly powerful is supporting Hospitality Action. The willingness of the chef’s involved to donate their time and expertise for peers facing difficulties embodies the supportive network that defines hospitality at its best. Events like this remind us that behind individual accolades and Michelin stars, we're part of a community that looks after its own.

Simon: How does giving back fit into your values as a chef and business owner?
Giving back isn't separate from being a chef - it's fundamental to the role. Restaurants depend on local farmers, suppliers, and community support, so investing in that ecosystem benefits everyone.

We also have platforms to address bigger issues like sustainability, food access, and creating opportunities for others. Whether it's supporting regenerative farming through purchasing decisions, mentoring young cooks, or ensuring fair treatment of staff, these actions reflect your values while strengthening your business. The kitchen teaches you that cooking is inherently about care and connection. As your influence grows, scaling that generosity to match your resources isn't just good business - it's essential.
