Charity partnerships are the beating heart of our fundraising programme - the benefits are endless. They help to raise crucial funds to support the industry, raise important awareness for our cause, create a sense of engagement and community, and play an important role in employee wellbeing. One of our greatest partnerships, has been our strong and longstanding relationship with leading foodservice provider, Bidfood. Their partnership has truly led the way on countless corporate and employee initiatives, with HA always at the heart of what they do.


Some of our most memorable collaborations with Bidfood include:

Raising monthly with a monthly prize draw

Over the past ten years Bidfood employees have raised a staggering £240,000 by entering a monthly Prize Draw.  So how does this work? Employees opt to pay £1 per week to take part, with the proceeds split equally between HA and the Bidfood prize pot winner each month. Since the scheme’s inception, 122 lucky employees from Bidfood depots across the country have won, whilst supporting HA in their goal to assist thousands of hospitality workers and households in the UK.

‘Our Hospitality Voices’ Christmas charity single

As we entered the second national lockdown back in November, Bidfood wanted to do something different to support the hospitality industry by shining a light on the importance and resilience of our industry – this was where the charity single ‘Our Hospitality Voices’ was born! Produced by Troy Miller, Winner of an Ivor Novello Award, the single covered Miley Cyrus’s song ‘The Climb’, and encapsulated raw authentic voices from across the industry, from employees, to chefs, customers and suppliers, all coming together to support the wider cause. Featuring singers such as Hospitality Action Patron and chef Brian Turner CBE, Chef Mark Sargeant, volunteers from Subway and IPC, as well as Bidfood and Hospitality Action employees. Sponsorship and fundraising

Prior to the pandemic, Bidfood were the headline sponsor of countless flagship fundraising events for HA, with their sales teams selling tables and organising luxury auctions to raise money for the cause. We returned the favour with ample news coverage, social media and positive exposure, not to mention a chance for the entire team to let their hair down at the events themselves.

Golf Days

Bidfood have consistently encouraged their customers to support us, both in terms of raising money, but also helping raise awareness of what we do. A shining example of this is the annual Bidfood Golf Day, which has not only raised thousands of pounds for HA, but has also proved to be a fantastic way to engage Bidfood teams and provide bonding opportunities with a community of suppliers and advocates.
