On Friday 20 March, more than 80 leading figures from across hospitality will step away from the board room and into service for the legendary Back to the Floor. Now in its seventh year, the iconic event will be hosted at London Hilton on Park Lane, where an all-star brigade will take on the challenge of delivering a classic silver service experience for 500 guests. The evening offers a powerful show of appreciation for the dedication and commitment displayed by hospitality teams every single day.

Can you tell us a little about the Hotels with Heart Foundation?
The Hotels with Heart Foundation was born from a dream Abigail Tan always had, our founder, driven by her deep love for the hospitality industry and her passion for helping people. Hospitality is built on care, warmth, and human connection, and the foundation reflects exactly that. We exist to support our community in every possible way, from wellbeing and mental health support to creating opportunities that help people rebuild their lives. Everything we do is rooted in kindness, compassion, and the belief that when one of us is struggling, we should all step forward to help.
What initiatives or events are you most proud of within the foundation?
We are proud of all of them, because every initiative we have created has touched different lives in different ways. Each project supports individuals, communities, or sectors that truly need it. One initiative especially close to our hearts is our Academies. They help people get back into work by offering education and training in hospitality. For some individuals who have experienced rough sleeping, this is about far more than a job. It is about restoring confidence, purpose, and dignity, and giving people the chance to rebuild their lives and look forward again.
Why have you chosen to support Hospitality Action?
We love Hospitality Action and everything they stand for. The support they provide to hospitality professionals is truly incredible. They help people not only financially but also mentally and emotionally, which is so important in our industry. Knowing there is always someone there for you makes such a difference. Hospitality is a family, and Hospitality Action feels like an extended family that stands beside you when life becomes difficult. That is exactly why our industry is so special.
What would you say to other businesses thinking about supporting Hospitality Action?
You never know what is around the corner. Life can change very quickly, and support can make all the difference. If we do not look after our extended family and our extended colleagues, then who will. Supporting Hospitality Action means standing together as an industry and making sure no one is left behind when they need help the most.
Back to the Floor is just around the corner, what are you most looking forward to?
We cannot wait to see so many amazing leaders come together with their teams to create such a wonderful evening. It is about teamwork, connection, and coming back together as an industry. Reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and sharing an inspiring night that supports hospitality makes this event incredibly special. Knowing that the evening will directly give back to our industry makes it even more meaningful.
