This summer we're asking you to recruit your entire team to take part in our Summer Challenge. If you haven't signed up already, what are you waiting for? Taking place between June 9^th – 19^th, we’ve got 11 days to raise £150,000 and clock up 75,000 miles. There isn't a second to waste.

We need you to raise as much as possible to help us support an industry in crisis. Whether you organise a company-wide sports day, encourage the team to cycle between sister properties or embrace a five mile run, every mile travelled and pound raised counts. We know times are hard, but we truly believe that raising just £2 per mile is achievable if we all pull together.

Teams signed up already include Prezzo, The Goring, The Newt in Somerset, The Dilly and the South East Branch of the Institute of Hospitality. Simon Numphud FIH, Managing Director, AA Hotel Services, is returning to lead Team Bath for the fourth year in a row. He says:

 “Now is the time to celebrate the joy hospitality brings to our lives. The doors are open at many of our favourite venues but let’s not forget the thousands that have closed forever. I am taking part in Hospitality Action’s #SummerChallenge alongside some of my closest industry friends to raise funds for this important cause and would urge you to do the same.”

The Belfry Hotel & Resort also couldn’t wait to sign up. They say:

“Hospitality Action is our industry’s safety net and when we heard about the #SummerChallenge we knew we had to take part. We’re proud to join in and know that, alongside all the other teams signed up, we’ll smash the £150,000 fundraising target.”

Why get involved.

Gathering the team to collaborate with colleagues from other departments to achieve a common goal isn’t just good for our charity, it’s good for business too. You’ll bring people together, break down barriers, and encourage your staff to get active. We firmly believe that a motivated and happy team will be loyal to your business and showcase it as a better place to work to potential new staff.

The Summer Challenge is open to any team or individual who loves the hospitality sector. Suppliers, operators, associations, or friends who just love good food; everybody is welcome. You can set up a team, invite your colleagues to join in or make a donation on our dedicated website.
