Blog. Back in Business Tour

March 18, 2022 | Author Jeremy Gibson

Over the last two years you’ve shown your solidarity and support by taking part in our virtual challenges to raise funds in aid of hospitality people whose lives have gone backwards during the pandemic. You virtually circled the UK in 2020, and you even went to #HellandBack last year raising a combined £250,000 along the way.

This year we’re back again. Bigger, brighter and better than ever. It’s time to get the world turning and celebrate the joy hospitality brings to all our lives by taking part in the Back in Business Tour 2022.

For ten days between June 10th – 20th, our Back in Business tour will visit some of the best places to eat, drink, and sleep on the planet. We’ll raise a glass of champagne in Reims, devour a juicy Argentinian steak in Buenos Aries, down Singapore Slings at Raffles, and sip on refreshing mint tea at La Mamounia in Marrakech.

And all the while, we’ll be raising money for hospitality people who most need our support.

It has been a long time coming but I for one am thrilled to finally be #BackinBusiness. Sadly many thousands of hospitality people haven’t been so fortunate and Hospitality Action is there for every single one of them. This is why I’m taking part in the #BackinBusiness tour alongside my westie Hugo this summer. Together we’ll help get the world turning once more.

How you clock up the virtual miles is up to you: whether you walk, run, cycle or swim, every step, pedal and stroke counts as we collectively aim to cover an epic 50,000 miles. Or, now that Lockdowns are behind us, why not turn on your fitness app and capture the distance you travel during a busy service or your journey into work? Alternatively, you could recruit colleagues to exercise together, build team spirit, boost your collective wellbeing and have some long over-due fun.

We hope the worst of the pandemic is behind us, and that the world quickly returns to peace and prosperity.

For our beneficiaries life is still tough with the increased cost of living driving many to the brink of desperation.

We need your support now more than ever.

We've got you.

I am looking forward to participating in Hospitality Action’s 50,000 mile Back in Business challenge 🚴‍♀️🚴🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶🚶‍♂️from 10th to 20th June. As the leading individual fundraiser for the past two virtual challenges I hope many people will be motivated to join me and help to exceed last year’s total of £180,000.
