Get your team involved in the Back in Business Tour.
This summer we're challenging you to recruit your entire team to take part in our Back in Business Tour which will be our third annual virtual fundraising event taking place from June 10th-20th.
Your collective running, cycling or walking will help us plot a virtual course between some of the most famous hospitality venues and experiences on the planet and raise lots of money to support the people whose lives have gone backwards during the pandemic.
As we go, we’ll raise a glass of champagne in Reims, and devour a juicy Argentinian steak in Buenos Aires. We’ll down Singapore Slings at Raffles, and sip on refreshing mint tea at La Mamounia in Marrakech. We’ll savour Tokyo’s most mouth-watering sashimi, and rip into a classic Neapolitan pizza.
You and your team will track your collective efforts challenging each other, competitors and even involving suppliers in the action. Your distance travelled and fundraising achieved will be tracked on our website.
Why it’s a great idea.
Gathering the team to collaborate with colleagues from other departments to achieve a common goal isn’t just good for our charity, it’s good for business too.
You’ll be bringing people together, breaking down barriers and encouraging your staff to get active and consider their own wellbeing.
Last year, the entire team at THE PIGs and Lime Wood took part in our Hell & Back challenge by virtually travelling between all of their hotels around the south, from Kent to Cornwall, with the aim of clocking up 1,500 miles and raising £15,000. They had a smashing time and smashed their target too raising over £40,000; engaging staff, customers and suppliers along the way.
We loved every minute of it, we didn’t realise it at the time of signing up, but in hindsight it was exactly what we all needed after the lockdown… an incentive to get active, give something back to an industry we are passionate about and to bring people together across Lime Wood & THE PIGs. It was a really exciting and uplifting week for everyone and brought us all closer together after a long period of separation.
