On Monday a superstar team of celebrity chefs cooked up a storm for a superb fundraising dinner at Rudding Park in aid of Hospitality Action and raised an epic £29,000 to support those in the industry who have fallen on hard times.

Our thanks go to chef Steph Moon, All Things Food for hosting the evening, our first gala dinner since the onset of the pandemic and one we were all very much looking forward to. Guests were treated to a Gin & Tonic reception, kindly sponsored by Smeaton’s Gin before tucking into a fabulous four course meal intersperse with insightful chef interviews.

Heartfelt thanks to:

Chef Luke French, JORO Restaurant, Sheffield for delivering an absolutely beautiful Starter; Yorkshire Wagyu with onions & fermented wild garlic, wild mushroom & truffle.

Chef Shaun Rankin of Michelin star Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall, Ripon for treating us to a super tasty Fish Course; Roast turbot, pistachio, pine nut, cauliflower, sea purslane.

Chef Mark Birchall, of two Michelin star Moor Hall, Lancashire for his mouth -watering Main Course; Aynhoe Estate fallow deer with beetroot, kale, and elderberry.

Chef Callum Bowmer, of 3 AA Rosette Horto Restaurant at Rudding Park, Harrogate for completing the evening’s culinary experience with a delicious Dessert; Ribston Pippin apple with Jerusalem artichoke.

The Rudding Park team including MD Peter Banks, Head Chef Callum Bowmer and the Events, Conference and Banqueting teams for their stellar support.

Wenlock Spring and North Brewing Co for providing the beverages and to Event Music for making sure that technically the evening was running flawless and for providing the musicians during the canapé reception.

Finally, many thanks to all our guests who participated in the evening’s fundraising. As a charity we couldn’t do our work without you, and we can assure you that every penny that was raised will be spent very wisely helping thousands of hospitality households in crisis. From vulnerable retirees needing help with daily living costs, to families facing financial and emotional distress, including homelessness and victims of domestic abuse, we’re here to get them back on their feet.

Our Chefs Dinner at Rudding Park was a wonderful evening of celebration after a challenging 20 months. Keep an eye on our events calendar to see what events we have coming up near you. Or, if you’d like to host an event of your own to raise much needed funds for hospitality families in crisis, please get in touch.
