Blog. Start your weekend with a bang: Pizza, Beer & Wine

August 20, 2021 | Author Giuliana Vittiglio

Since the onset of the pandemic countless companies representing all sectors of our industry and beyond have stepped forward to champion our work. Some are established brands whereas others are brand new, having developed in lockdown and still keen to lend their support. Here are three fantastic businesses who have done just that:

Yeastie Boys

Back in March 2020 international brewers the Yeastie Boys were one of the first companies to show their solidarity and they’ve been doing so ever since. 8p of every single can of their thirst quenching beers sold, from extra pale ale ‘White Noise’ to pale golden Triple IPA ‘Engelbert Pumpernickel’, is donated to HA and we can’t thank them enough.

Stu McKinlay, Yeastie Boy’s Benevolent Dictator says: “We're intrinsically linked to the hospitality industry in everything we do. We love pubs and restaurants and many of our friends either own, manage, or work in these venues. The pandemic has been really hard on all businesses but few have been quite as affected as those at the face of hospitality. We're proud to have supported Hospitality Action through this time, so that hospitality workers in need can receive truly invaluable support, and we look forward to continuing this support in the years to come.”

Jascots Wine Merchants

Specialist wine suppliers Jascots Wine Merchants import from heroic, sustainable small growers from around the wine world, bringing hard to find bottles direct from the vineyard to your doorstep. Their wines appear on the lists of some of the best restaurants in the country and you can enjoy mixed cases of their exclusive wines in the comfort of your own home. Membership to "Jascots at Home" Private Wine Buyer's Club is just £20, all of which is donated to our vital work.

Miles MacInnes, Managing Partner says: "We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the private customers who have placed orders with us during lockdown and allowed us to stay open throughout. We would never turn our back on them now and so have invited them to continue enjoying our wines as founder members of “Jascots at Home” a private wine buyer’s club.”

Dough Ball Disco

Pizza advocate and creative genius Chris Townsend has been selling 100% organic cotton, fair-wear, vegan t-shirts for the best part of 2021 and donating 50% of his super cool Hawaiian Hand Grenade print to HA. Whether you’re a fan of pineapple on pizza or not you can wear this tee with pride.

Chris says: “Through lockdown pizza making became my creative escape - making experimental pizza’s and designing pizza t-shirts. With my first t-shirt design I decided to use it to help others, giving 50% of the profits to support Hospitality Action. I really only expected to sell a handful but six months on I’m blown away by how popular they are, selling to fans all around the world, and raising over £1,220 in the process.”
