December 16, 2019 | Author Giuliana Vittiglio
As all hospitality workers know January doesn’t mean the end of the festivities, rather it’s the time to finally let loose and celebrate the party season coming to a close!
Hospitality Rocks, hosted by The Smart Group, is the only Christmas party exclusively for the hospitality and events industry. Taking place at Evolution London the event will once again raise funds for Hospitality Action and The Springboard Charity.
We caught up with Group Marketing Director of The Smart Group Rich Myers to find out more.

When did you first become aware of Hospitality Action?
Over the years we continue to hear more and more about the fantastic work Hospitality Action do for the industry and its workers. We are delighted to be able to support the charity through our Hospitality Rocks event and provide yet another opportunity for the industry to give something back to its employees.
Why do you think the hospitality industry needs a charity like Hospitality Action?
Hospitality Action provide hospitality workers with somewhere to turn to in times of distress - the industry can be stressful, especially around the festive period, and employees face challenges of various descriptions. In situations when it is no longer possible to work, it is essential that someone is on board to help prepare employees for the next steps - this is where Hospitality Action comes in!
Tell us about Hospitality Rocks. How did you come up with the idea and what can guests expect?
Hospitality Rocks came about as a way of rewarding professionals in the industry, including our own, who do not get to experience a Christmas party of their own, despite working hard to ensure that everyone else’s celebrations live up to expectation. It’s intended as an opportunity for the industry to let their hair down after working tirelessly not just over the festive season, but throughout the whole year. Guests can expect to start their year with a bang, after all, it is thoroughly deserved.
