Thank you to the Exeter & Heart of Devon Hotels & Restaurants Association who have raised over £1,500 for our work! The funds were raised at the Association’s annual dinner which was recently held at Deer Park Country House Hotel. Friends of the Association are taking part in our Cotswold Cycle Challenge later this year, on Monday 4th June, and this money will go towards their fundraising efforts!

Guests enjoyed a luxury four course feast and took part in a raffle featuring some fantastic prizes donated by a selection of Heavenly Devon Hotels and Restaurants, including a night in the stunning Treehouse at Deer Park Country House Hotel, a night at Dart Marina Hotel and Spa and a luxury beach hut stay at Cary Arms & Spa. The night ended with some fantastic entertainment from cabaret artist and compere extraordinaire, Goronwy Thom.

Mark Godfrey, Managing Director at the Deer Park Country House Hotel was delighted to play host on the evening, saying “It was our pleasure to host Association members and their guests at Deer Park for a celebratory extravaganza. The event gave guests the chance to let their hair down and enjoy an evening of delicious food and top-notch entertainment in our sparkling orangery, before heading out to seal the evening with a bang with Sonic Fireworks display.”

Derek Phillips, Honorary Secretary for The Exeter and the Heart of Devon Hotels Association added “We are so pleased with the amount raised for this incredible deserving charity. We are also very grateful to our members for raising such an amazing sum and for the prizes they donated. The association has just celebrated a very successful winter season, with members reporting an excellent trading result.”
