News from Hospitality Action

Hospitality and catering students at Tameside College raised over £1,000 for Hospitality Action with an evening of food and entertainment at Gorton Monastery. The event, which was organised by Tameside College students with support from Coleg Cambria and Andrew Green, executive chef at the Lowry Hotel, treated guests to a champagne reception followed by a three course meal in the monastery’s main hall. Alongside the meal there was a DJ and guests bid on auction prizes such as afternoon tea at Gorton Monastery, bed and breakfast at the Principal hotel, Manchester, and a cocktail and wine experience at The French restaurant. John Holden, hospitality and catering teacher at Tameside College whose students organised the fantastic evening, was delighted with their achievement, as were we!
