Join us for an evening of truly phenomenal food from a host of top Yorkshire chefs at our first Northern Stars Dinner in Harrogate.

Taking place in the luxury setting of Rudding Park – winner of ‘Hotel of the Year’ at the Catey Awards 2019 – our host for the evening will be Stephanie Moon, Chef Consultant at Rudding Park and regular on the food show circuit. Enjoy music, drinks and canapés as you arrive for a sparkling start to the evening, and the chance to win some fabulous prizes throughout the dinner in our auctions and prize draws.  

The stars of the evening will of course be our five incredibly talented chefs as they prepare a stunning five course dinner for guests to celebrate the great culinary talents of Yorkshire. Plus there will be a live feed to the kitchen so you can see the chefs in action as they prepare your meal.


Introducing our Northern Stars

Starter – Tommy Banks, Chef Owner, The Black Swan Oldstead & Roots York

Tommy’s restaurant The Black Swan Oldstead holds a Michelin star and 4 AA Rosettes and both of his restaurants are on the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards Top 100 list.

Fish course – Shaun Rankin, Chef Patron, Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall, Ripon

One of the UK’s best chefs and Michelin-awarded at his other restaurants, Shaun’s fine dining restaurant at Grantley Hall has recently opened to great acclaim.

Main course – James Mackenzie, Chef Owner, The Pipe and Glass, South Dalton

James’ pub The Pipe and Glass was awarded East Yorkshire’s first Michelin Star in 2010 and has retained it ever since.

Pre-dessert – Matthew Wilkinson, Development Chef, Rudding Park, Harrogate

Matthew creates dishes for over 40,000 guests a year across all areas of multi-award-winning Rudding Park and is a regular on the Yorkshire food scene.

Dessert – Michael Wignall, Chef Patron, The Angel at Hetton, Skipton

Michael has a professional career spanning Michelin-starred restaurants around the country. His new restaurant The Angel at Hetton opened in 2018 and is already named in the Estrella Damm National Restaurant Awards Top 100 list.
