Blog. Chefs Dinner at Hilton Liverpool

November 9, 2022 | Author: Sophie Stevens

On Monday evening a fabulous team of award-winning chefs cooked up a storm for a fundraising dinner at Hilton Liverpool City Centre in aid of our work and raised an incredible £48,000 to help those in the industry facing hard times.

Our thanks go to chef Paul Askew, The Art School for hosting the evening. The cocktail and canapé reception was kindly sponsored by Estrella Damm, and Defiance Distillery where guests enjoyed their newly released Café Seville Espresso Orange Gin Liqueur, or a Seville Orange G&T before tucking into a fabulous four course meal interspersed with insightful chef interviews.

Heartfelt thanks to:

Chef Aiden Byrne, of The Church Green, for delivering an absolutely beautiful starter; Ribblesdale goats cheese flan, burnt onion dressing and cured ham.

Chef Tom Parker, of Michelin starred The White Swan, for treating us to a super tasty fish course; Organic salmon, English wasabi buttermilk, cucumbers, dill and Petrossian caviar.

Chef Ellis Barrie, of Lerpwl, for his mouth-watering main course; Red deer with red cabbage purée and charred hispi, pickled fig and blackberry with venison truffle sauce.

Chef Paul Leonard, of Michelin starred The Forest Side, for completing the evening’s culinary experience with a delicious dessert; Chocolate liquor parfait, sea-buckthorn and cultured yoghurt.

The Hilton Liverpool City Centre team including GM Marcus Magee, the chefs, and the Events, Conference and Banqueting teams for creating the most wonderful evening for guests.

Thanks to Defiance Distillery, Estrella Damm, Luscombe Drinks and North Brewing Co for providing the beverages. Delifresh, Caterite, Petrossian Caviar and Wellgate Fisheries for sponsoring the course ingredients.

Finally, many thanks to all our guests who participated in the evening’s fundraising. As a charity we couldn’t do our work without you, and we can assure you that every penny that was raised will be spent wisely helping thousands of hospitality households facing extreme food and fuel poverty and poor mental health, associated with the increase in living costs crisis.

If you’d like to host an event of your own to raise much needed funds for hospitality families in crisis, please get in touch.
